At LUMA, we use a token-based payment system for transactions within the app. Users purchase tokens for R100 each, which can be used to pay for consultations, contracts, or other services. All payments are securely processed through
Paystack, a trusted third-party payment processor that adheres to industry standards for payment protection.
• Subscription for Lawyers: Lawyers using LUMA are required to pay a monthly subscription fee to access the platform’s services. Subscription payments are also processed via Paystack.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which we collected it, including for legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. If you wish to have your personal data deleted, you have several options: – Manual Request: You can request data deletion by emailing us at support@connectluma.com, and we will initiate the process of permanently deleting your data from our systems.
– In-App Deletion: You can also delete your data by following these steps:
1. Tap on your profile picture in the top right of the home screen.
2. Go to “Settings” from your profile page.
3. Tap on “Account Settings” and select “Delete your Account.”
4. Confirm by tapping “Yes, Delete my Account.” Your data will be permanently deleted.
If you registered through Facebook, you can request data deletion directly through their platform. Follow their process for third-party app data removal.
